Why Is Montgomery and Prince George's Water So Darn Delicious?
Think of how much water you've used already, today. A drink, a shower, cleaning the dishes, washing your hands -- for an increasing number of Montgomery and Prince George's County, Maryland neighbors their water bill is stacking up with little relief in sight. We talked to Kelly Caplan of WSSC's "Water Fund" a non-profit that provides up to $500 in relief for people behind on their water bills. The Water Fund is a special organization that is able to donate 100% of the money raised back to the community. The WSSC Water Fund partners with the Salvation Army to facilitate the program. Often Water Fund recipients are able to be supported with other services like food and clothing from the Salvation Army. Kelly also shared a fun fact that WSSC water has gone for more than a century without any water quality violations. So that's probably why MoCo and PG water is so darn delicious.
