SOLVED: DC Chopper Traffic Mystery
There is a new helicopter fleet to carry the President and Vice President and is the cause of why there has been so much activity in the skies lately. The new helicopters, HMX-1 and their crews need to train especially with the challenging urban landing zones at the White House's South Lawn and the Vice President’s residency at the Naval Observatory. Many residents near those locations have noticed increased in noise with the training happening for hours at a time during all parts of the day.
