New Caps Pup, Celebs Filming in DC, Exorcist House Has New Owners, Twitter War Over DC Food Scene

Happy Birthday to Rock Creek Park, turning 131 years old today. 

The Washington Capitals have partnered again with America's VetDogs, a non-profit that provides service dogs to veterans and first responders with disabilities, to train future service dog ‘Biscuit.’ Biscuit is a 9-week-old male chocolate Lab, will undergo basic training and socialization with the Capitals staff, players and public for the next 14-16 months.

DC extends its ticket amnesty program, allowing drivers to pay only the fine without late fees on outstanding parking, speeding, red light, and other tickets until December 31.

HBO’s White House Plumbers a docuseries about Watergate was filming in DC over the weekend and turned areas around the Eisenhower Executive Office Building into a recreation of 1972 with Nixon Campaign signs and cars

Washingtonian Magazine reports on a young couple unknowingly recently purchased a home in Prince George’s County that was the site of the events that inspired The Exorcist.

A Florida politician recently tweeted that the DC Food scene was  “terrible” and “not great”.  Thousands of Washingtonians responded in defense of the restaurant industry.
